Bible passages on victory over sin
- John 1:29 -- The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
- John 8:34-36 -- 34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
- 1 John 1:7 -- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
- 1 John 3:4-9 -- 4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. - 1 John 5:18 -- We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

1 Sin is anything that defiles us before God.
2 Because we are supposed to be in the world but not of the world, surrounded by sin and not sinning.

8 I think I need to redefine what I think of as sin, I said earlier that sin is anything that defiles us I need to relearn what defiles us.
1: sin is an evil act that takes you away from God

7: because sin is the comfortable life that leads to your distruction

1. I don't know how to describe sin... It just is. Always there, never gone, knocking at your door.
2.??? Umm, because it's bad.
3. You punish yourself more then God will ever punish you.

7. Like I said before, it's always there. Teasing you, trying to make you fall.
8. Never regret anything you've ever done, because at one point, it's exactly what you wanted to do.
Sorry, I think I'm a little late to the party...
1. Sin is not doing what God told us to do.
2. If we really love God we won't do what makes him sad.
3. Seems to me if you keep on sinning and don't ask for forgiveness you go to Hell, because you belong to Satin.

6. It didn't say slave, it said Servant....but we are serving God, and only God.
7. Because Satin is still present and he still tempts.
8. It makes me not want to sin any more, because it said that the people who want to do sin belong to Satin, not God.
