LESSON TWO -- KNOWING CHRIST

*** What steps have you taken to deepen your relationship with Christ?  
 

READ -- Romans chapter 2 (focusing on verses 1 to 16)

1.  Why did Paul advise the Romans to avoid judging each other?

2.  Why do people tend to take God's kindness lightly?

3.  What guidelines will God use to reward or punish people?

4.  If hearing the law does not make people right with God, then what does?

5.  How can we tell right from wrong?

1. Paul advised them not to judge others because they will be held to their own standards.
2. I don't know.
3. To those who seek glory, honour, and immortality he will give eternal life but to those who are self-seeking who reject the truth and who follow evil will be wrath and anger.
4. Obeying the law will make you right with god.
5. If it does not fit under "love your neibour as your self" it is most likely doing wrong.

Because judging people is wrong, while you judge other people, you are hiding from your own faults, wishing them not to be...

I don't know

3. What guidelines will God use to reward or punish people?

The guidelines of the law I guess.

4. If hearing the law does not make people right with God, then what does?

Hereing of his love, kindness, and grace.

5. How can we tell right from wrong?

Depends on your definition of what's right and what's wrong...

1. Because its the pot calling the kettle black. We are as deep or deeper in sin as the person we are judging.

2. Perhaps because God will forgive you as many times as you sin, so people think "why stop doing what I'm doing when I always get another chance"

3. I think he will judge us according to what is right. (that's all I got right now)

4. I don't think just sitting and hearing the Law will get you right with God. But reading the Bible and doing what it says to do might...

5. Find out what Jesus ha to say about it.
