QUESTION FROM JORDAN

Is there a difference between the soul and the spirit?  He read somewhere about people having a trinity -- body, soul and spirit.

I think I agree with the last paragraph of this article ...

Genesis 2:7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground [he made the body] and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life [he put a spirit in the body] and the man came to be a living soul [body+spirit=soul].

soul being you

at least that is what "i have" so far....

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Hebrews 4:11-13

I was reading through Romans 2:1-16, and beyond. (because I can't just stop) When I got to Romans 7:22-23 a revelation came to me about Jordon's question. So here it is.

The body is where our sinful nature comes form (the enemy), the soul is our inner being (the battleground), the spirit is the spirit that is within us that links us to our Father, through the Holy Spirit (the Good Guy aka God). There is a war waging in all of us, the enemy wants to take over the battleground to enslave us, wanting us to submit to the desires of our flesh and bring our soul to death, while the Good Guy is defending us from the enemy to bring the battleground to freedom to allow my soul to choose and everlasting life.
